Camden Academy College Counselors are available to help students with the information and tools they need in regards to making post-secondary plans. Every Camden Academy Charter High School student will meet with their counselor to work through the following steps:
1.) Post-Secondary Individual Student Conferences - this is a time to talk with your counselor about your plans for post graduation. The discussion will focus on the student's interests and strengths as a plan is developed.
2.) Letter of Recommendation - each student will complete their Letter of Recommendation Request Form in a digital format first to facilitate the letter of recommendation process. It is recommended for students to answer all of the questions on the form with as much detail as possible.
3.) College/University Transcript Requests - students must plan accordingly and follow the college deadlines making certain to allow for two weeks for the college/university transcript to processed.
Current Students: it is vital to keep your Naviance profile updated. This includes updating your college choices that you are applying to AND the people who have been requested to write recommendations. It is your responsibility to follow up with the teachers you are requesting a letter from in a reasonable and professional manner. Regardless of each college's requirements, you must also have one letter of recommendation written by your College Counselor.
COLLEGE TOURS
College and university tours typically take place during the fall and winter months.
