On Friday morning, Promise students and Mrs. Brown picked up the donations for the 2021 Angel Tree program from each school and delivered them to the Kroc Center. I’ve attached some photos.
The Angel Tree effort will support 1,500 local families this year or >3,500 children. The majority of families are from Camden and living well below the poverty line. Participating families complete a form earlier in the year to be invited to participate.
As Promise students dropped off the donation of toys from CCSN this morning, Kroc leadership engaged them in conversation and gave them delicious hot chocolate.
Everyone at the Kroc is very appreciative for all the toys collected by our school system and for the delivery. They have to collect 7,000 toys this year, so every donation helps.
